John Paul College and the Arts Faculty have reason to celebrate. Tyler Paul Year 11 a highly talented student has received national distinction and recognition. Tyler has been awarded the Grade 6 Speech New Zealand Scholarship. Each year students from throughout New Zealand who have received exceptional high marks for senior modules can apply to Speech New Zealand for a Scholarship. There is one Scholarship awarded nationally for senior grades 6 – 8 Speech and Drama and Public Speaking.
Last year John Paul College received two scholarships with Tate Tisdall and Ihita Nath receiving both Grade 8 and Grade 7 Scholarships.
