Kia ora koutou e te whΔnau,
JPC had a stunning day in the pool at the BOPSS Swimming Champs yesterday, with a small team of 10. We achieved some incredible feats, including 23 Podium Finishes!
Starting off strong, we had both Ngamihi Simpson and Ariel Muchirahondo finish beautifully in the Senior Girls and Intermediate Boys 200m IM.
They went on to drink the whole pool, and left no spillage;

I couldn’t have asked for a better campaign today, and am incredibly proud of the whole team regardless of where they finished. They each took lessons from this meet, and now look forward to North Islands and Nationals!
I want to pay special tribute to Nicky Logan. When he wasn’t in the death pool with Ariel and other Rotorua swimmers, he was standing right behind his teammates, hyping them up, there with their towels after their swim, and cheering everyone on like a champion!
Be sure to congratulate this whole team when you see them!
Kia ora rawa atu,
Frank Baker
