ROTOMATHS COMPETITION

The annual Rotomaths competition was held at the Rotorua Girls High School Arena last Tuesday, September 3. This year, we had 6 dedicated teams of year 7’s and 8’s. These students practiced steadily throughout Term 3 during lunchtimes and the results paid off.

The competition was tough, nonetheless, 5 of our 6 teams placed in the top 2 in their respective categories: The winning Year 7 Team was by represented by Lachlan Hogan, Nyla Fulo, Nath Ihita, Ben Breeze. The team of Joseph Carter, Annabelle Hogan, Mickey Wu, and Demi Yang placed 2nd. The third Year 7 team was made up of Anthony Montero, Harrison Roberts-Brake, Luca Finlayson and Ava Tremain.

The Year 8 Team, represented by Aaron Muchirahondo, Mitchell Russell, Robert KC Khatri and Zach Hall, placed 1st , while the other two Year 8 teams composed of Anita Huang, Alannah Nielson, Morgan Maccormick, Ben Clarke and Gargi Vaidya, Lily Kautz, Kasey Hall, Oscar Westra placed 2nd equal.
