Uniform FAQs

How do I order uniform?

The quickest way to order uniforms is to purchase uniform items online here. You can pay online using a credit/debit card (the quickest option) or you can choose pay when you collect your order (by cash, eftpos, WINZ card).

We will email you when your order is ready for collection from the Uniform Shop. During busy times this may take a day or two.

If you are unable to purchase online, you can purchase items over the counter at the shop.

However, due to current Covid-19 restrictions, it is not possible to try items on in the shop. 

When is the uniform shop open?

The Uniform Shop is open Monday and Wednesday 8am – 2pm, during term time.

At the start of the school year and during other busy times, the shop will be open on additional days (details will be published in the school newsletter).

The last day for 2021 is Wednesday 8 December.

The shop will be open the following days in 2022:
Monday 24th January – Friday 28th January 9am – 4pm
Tuesday 1 February 8am – 2pm
Wednesday 2 February 8am – 2pm
Thursday 3 February 8am -2pm
The shop will be CLOSED on Monday 31st January (Auckland Anniversay holiday) and Monday 7th February (Waitangi Day holiday).
 Normal hours resume from Wednesday 9 February (Mondays and Wednsesdays 8am – 2pm).

Why can we not try items on in the shop?

Due to current Covid-19 guidelines, it is not currently possible to try items on in the shop. This is because the shop is very small and we cannot ensure appropriate social distancing. Please order online, then you can take your uniform home to try and bring back to swap any items as needed.

We acknowledge that this may be frustrating, especially if you live out of town, but this is to ensure the safety of JPC staff, students and their whanau.

How do I know what size to order?

Please look at the size details on each item on the website. Some items are sized by age and some in mens/womens/unisex sizes. We have provided measurements for most items.

The best way to work out what size you need is to compare these measurements to a current item of clothing. Otherwise, just choose the size your child normally wears (or a size up if you’d like it to last a bit longer).

What if the size I ordered isn’t right?

We are happy to swap items if you find the size you have ordered is incorrect – please just take your best guess when ordering.

If you are bringing items to the shop to swap, please bring your order number with you. If you no longer require an item, we can offer a refund if items are unworn and have tags attached.

Can my child collect uniform I have ordered online?

Yes, you or your child can collect the order from the uniform shop during opening hours (Monday and Wednesday 8am – 2pm).

Do I need to wear a mask when I collect my order?

Yes, please wear a mask when you visit the uniform shop. Please also scan in and follow social distancing regulations. This is to ensure the safety of JPC staff, students and their whanau.

I haven’t had an email to say my order is ready – can I still come and collect it?

Yes – we pack orders in the order in which they are received so we may not have got to yours yet. You can still come and collect it, it may just take us a minute to gather the items you need.

I have credit on my school account – can I use this to purchase uniform?

Yes – when ordering online select “pay at uniform shop” then email us to let us know you’d like to use your credit to pay for the uniform.

Can senior students still wear the white polo shirt in summer?

No. The correct uniform for seniors is the summer blouse or shirt. Senior students can no longer wear the white polo shirts.

Can I borrow a school blazer for an event?

Yes. Please come to the uniform shop when you need the blazer (no need to book in advance). You will be issued with a blazer for the event. It is very important that you return the blazer as soon as your event is over. Unreturned blazers will be charged to your account ($220).

I have a faulty uniform item – what should I do?

Occasionally an item may have a faulty zip or other issue. Please bring any faulty items to the shop and where possible, they will be replaced.
