Sports Director – John Paul College

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated School Sports Director.

This is an exciting and rewarding position to work in a high performing and family orientated school. John Paul College is a co-educational college with students from Years 7-13.

We are regionally and nationally competitive in a number of sports and have a large number of students participating in sport. Our current sports programme is well supported by our community.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate strong leadership, be a strategic planner and have strength in developing and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders of our sporting programme.

Your key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Promotion and enhancement of participation in sport by students
  • Communication with stakeholders regarding sports
  • Administration and resource management
  • Management of the Edmund Rice Centre and fitness centre

This is a full time position – 40 hours per week. You are required to demonstrate a professional work ethic,
trustworthiness, excellent communication skills and the ability to multi task.

School Nurse

John Paul College is seeking a qualified nurse to provide a top-level health services for students and staff.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a welcoming, friendly, proactive and well organised nurse who enjoys variety and dealing with a range of people.

Duties include:

  • Administering first aid and immediate care to students and staff
  • Develop healthcare plans
  • Facilitate referrals, immunisations etc..
  • Reporting
  • Working closely with the Counselling Team

To be successful you will need the following skills and attributes:

  • Qualified enrolled or registered nurse
  • Caring, compassionate and sympathetic
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good knowledge or willing to learn Youth Health
  • Keeps confidentiality
  • Professional
  • Honest and trustworthy
  • Ability to be able to interact with all levels of people
  • Works well both individually and as part of a team.
  • Be highly motivated and enthusiastic
  • Positive attitude and excellent listening skills
  • Good work ethic
  • Previous experience in a school environment advantageous
  • A good working knowledge of MS products, i.e. Word and Excel, plus gmail and google doc’s

This is a permanent term-time only role working 9am – 3pm Monday to Friday.
