Learning Support Coordinator Role

The John Paul College Board of Trustees is seeking a highly capable Learning Support Coordinator. This role is a permanent, full time position.

The position will be based at St Mary’s Catholic School, Putaruru. This position will be shared by Bishop Edward Gaines School, Tokoroa. The prefered candidate for this position will have recent and successful experience working within a primary school setting.

Th successful applicants will be supportive of the Catholic Faith, have exceptional interpersonal skills and have a desire to see all children and their families within the Kahui Ako receive the support, care and understanding that they need to thrive within our Catholic Schools.

International Accommodation Coordinator

John Paul College is seeking someone to work within the International Team as an Accommodation Coordinator.

This is a permanent part-time role working 28 hour per week, 52 weeks per year. There will be regular hours Monday to Friday. Work outside of office hours and weekends may be required.

The accommodation coordinator will:

  1. Recruit, assess and train homestay families for the school.
  2. Make appropriate placements into host families and monitor those placements during the student’s stay.
  3. Ensure effective administration of the accommodation placements, maintaining records and appropriate documentation.
  4. Ensure compliance with the Education (Pastoral Care of International Students) Code of Practice 2016 and other related regulations as they relate to accommodation.
  5. Communicate effectively to build relationships with stakeholders within the school and caregiver networks.
