Congratulations to Ihita Nath from Year 11, who has been selected as one of the four recipients of this year’s Michael Pilaar Memorial Fund Scholarship for her involvement in Piano and Music Theory. This scholarship was set up in 2017 by the Pilaar Family to honor the memory of their son, Michael by supporting young musicians from the Rotorua and Taupo Districts to develop their classical musical skills.
Ihita has been learning Piano and Music theory with Mrs. Claire Mason for the last seven years. This year she is working towards her Grade 6 Trinity Examination for Piano and Music Theory. She is a passionate musician who is involved in the school orchestra, IRMT performances, competitions, and showcase concerts.
She was handed out the Scholarship Certificate on 17th September at the Gift of Music Concert.
