Giant 2W – JPC girls bring home medals with Kate Hastings winning the series!!!
Congratulations to JPC students who made the podium at the Giant 2W Enduro Mountain Bike race over the weekend. We had lots of our young shredders enter and ride in pretty challenging conditions. This final race of the series was unassisted (no shuttles to the top!) and had 2 categories – Short with 4 stages, and Long with 6 stages. JPC girls taking home several medals.
Year 12, Kate Hastings took on the long course. A massive day and season culminating in a win of the 15/16 Girls 6 Stage, but not only that, she also won the 1st Female in 6th Stage and won the Giant 2W 6 Stage Female Series Overall !!!!
Year 13 Emma Hickson won her 1st in 17 to 20 Women’s 4 Stage. This makes a clean sweep for Emma as she won all 3 stage 4 races in the series! With a couple a fastest female stage times for the day too!
Year 9 Keira Burborough-Murphy came 2nd in the 13 to 14 year old Girls 4 stage race, and her times would have placed her 4th over all female in the 4 stage!
