JPC Rowers do us proud at Maadi with Tegan Negus coming 4th in NZ!

Congratulations to all the rowers that competed in the 2024 New Zealand Secondary School Championships (Aon Maadi Regatta) last month, on the 18-23 March 2024.

It was held on Lake Ruataniwha in the Mackenzie Basin in the South Island of New Zealand and hosted by South Island rowing.

There were some very impressive results with Tegan Negus coming 4th in the U18 single. Lucy Gaston came 7th in the U16 single. Alanah Neilson and Ezzele Van der Westhuizen came 5th in the B final for doubles and they finished 13th overall and Tegan and Brooke Thom made a C final in their double.

Congratulations to also to our other competitors Billy Chesby, Flynn Wheeler.

These students all put in a great campaign, achieving amazing milestones and success. They trained their hearts out, were involved in huge fundraising ventures and represented John Paul College with pride.
