We provide a comprehensive Orientation Programme for each of the two yearly intakes (February, July). In addition to completing your enrolment, choosing your subjects and familiarizing you with the school, we include some awesome activities too!


At John Paul College you can choose from a wide range of interesting subjects. While there are some compulsory subject such as mathematics and science, you can try something new such as Adventure Based Learning, Fabric Technology or Metal Technology.

English Language Programme

We currently offer three different classes –  Senior English Language, Senior English Language (Foundation) & Junior English Language.

We have a Homework Centre operating twice a week, where you can be tutored in a chosen subject by a senior ‘buddy’. Individual tutoring can also be arranged. In addition, an International Dean also provides guidance and support for curriculum related issues.

November Programme

For students not completing NCEA exams and those who can fit it in to their study timetable, we offer an exciting November Programme with adventure, cultural & sightseeing activities around Rotorua.
